Counselor Sign-Ups
Every great camp runs on counselors willing to share what they know. This year, that's you. Pitch a session, show off what makes your community work, and help build the activity lineup for Camp LEAP 2026.
CAMP DATES TO KNOW
Sept 28
Proposals due by 8:00 AM
All session proposals must be submitted by 8:00 AM on Monday, September 28th. Late entries can't be considered, so don't wait until lights-out.
Oct 2
Presenters notified by noon
Selected presenters will hear back by noon on Friday, October 2nd, with plenty of runway to prep before the conference.
Camp Tracks
Five themes you can present on, each with its own time slot.
Leadership Development
The campfire-circle sessions: how to lead with intention, handle conflict before it boils over, and build the kind of trust that makes a community follow you somewhere new.
Helping leaders build their leadership style or coach others through it.
Training & Curriculum
How you teach the next group of student staff the ropes. We're looking for onboarding models, ongoing staff development, and curriculum that holds up after week one of camp.
For anyone designing training or learning the ropes from the inside.
Programming & Community Building
What it takes to get people out of their bunks. We're looking for the program that actually worked, the engagement trick that's a little sneaky, and whatever made your residents show up and stay.
For anyone planning events or looking to scale what's working.
Wellness & Self-Care
The session for when the work gets heavy. Burnout, boundaries, and how to actually rest between activity periods, not just talk about resting.
For anyone on staff learning how to last the whole year.
Personal & Professional Development
Helping leaders map out what's next, on their own or for the people they support.
What happens after camp ends. Time management, networking, grad school and job prep, and how to walk away from being a student leader and into being a professional, without losing what made you good at this.
